Hi Beatle friends!

My name is Maxime, I'm French (I'm 26) and I'm living in Dublin for 4 years now.

August 1998, my very first days here, walking on the quays, I notice a big, ugly orange poster on the other side of the Liffey. My God ! Ringo Starr is coming?

In short that's what happened to me and that's how I went to see my first "Beatle gig". Do I have to say that I'm a big Beatle fan? No.

It took me a while to go to Liverpool but in 2001, I've cross the sea and left some of my great memories over there. People and places, in my heart, in my life.

I bought the ticket for the Paul McCartney's gig as soons as they were on sale (queuing in Jervis at 9am). What I didn't know at the time is what I was to see him before.

Yes, thanks to Ryan Air my girlfriend and I planned a last minute flight to Rome the 12th of May.

Managed to get some pass at half show and been able to get in the Coliseo the Satuday night ! What a dream!

We've ended sitting next to Bob Geldof, my girlfriend has lived in Dun Laoghaire and it's in Rome that we met Bob!

But we didn't even know what would happen to us the day after. We were supposed to go to the free gig in front of the Coliseo in the evening. What a surprise when the chance guide us to the hotel where Paul was staying!

We were just visiting aroung when we arrived in front of a small crowd. About hundred people were gathering, waiting for the lad, he was supposed to leave the place in a minute (to go to the soundcheck).

Anyway, it was fantastic, plus the half-million gig the same evening! Oh Jesus, we were more happy than ever!!

Here's few nice pics I took in Dublin, mad enough to be at the very first row, next to Heather. Lucky, isn't it?
