John Lennon's Irish heritage

John Winston Lennon was born in Liverpool Maternity Hospital on the 9th October 1940. He was named John after his grandfather and Winston after the great war-time leader, Winston Churchill.

Summary: Confidential interoffice memos contain information including: John's overseas drug conviction; the immigration status of John and his wife, Yoko Ono; and the musician's alleged backing of demonstrations at the Republican National Convention. According to the documents, the FBI received numerous reports on John's private life from "reliable" sources.
