George Harrison Day
Saturday 22nd February 2003
Hi everyone,
This latest news from live@pool is unashamedly dedicated to George
as we approach the 60th anniversary of his birth here in Liverpool.
To celebrate, we will once again stage a George Harrison Day.
You know we always strive to make the experience special, and
this year, we will loosely base the tour around the songs & lyrics of the amazing 'Brainwashed' album.
We will visit many of George's old Liverpool haunts, including all former homes, the beautiful palmhouse, places where he played etc etc. We will also explore the many fascinating facets to his character, the passions that were ignited during his childhood in Liverpool, and stayed with him throughout his life.
The day will begin at 11am from outside The Beatles Story,
Albert Dock, and finish into the early hours with a repeat of
the evening staged last year at the famous Aintree Institute,
featuring Liverpool Tribute Band the Blue Meanies (yes..Bingo
& All!)
I wont give too much away..I love the element of surprise, but
trust me..this will be special.
The whole day will cost 60 pounds, and this includes the tour,
evening party (with transport to/from Aintree & city centre)
, celebration lunch & souvenir gift.
To book, simply send me an e-mail on live@pooltours.com - remember
places are limited, so book as soon as you can to guarantee your
seat. For details of the last George Day, go to www.liverpoolbeatlescene.com/weekend.html
